      We are currently seeking Full-Time Ultrasound Technician/Travel LPN to join our Team at Regional Office located in Nashville, Tennessee.


      This positions reports directly to the Ultrasound Technician/RN4 for the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC).


    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated healthcare professional, who has the ability to work Independently within a supportive friendly team to take up a newly created position within the health services department. The post holder will provide coverage for the Ultrasound Clinics and will be required to explain, undertake and disseminate results about the procedure and will therefore require excellent communication skills and good attention to detail. The post holder must be flexible, work well under pressure within all facilities and demonstrate a desire to learn.


    Knowledge of liver disease Is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Fibro-scanning is a 20 minute non-invasive, painless assessment that furthermore does not require an Inpatient admission and gives 'real time' results. The patients' liver may be assessed In ambulatory care rather than hospital, and the availability of portable machines increases the flexibility for this service to be provided In the most convenient location for patients as well as within the inpatient ward environment Early assessment of and diagnosis of liver disease and complex multi-system disease are key outcomes.

    The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who has an interest in abdominal and liver sonography. He or she will also communicate clearly and frequently with our team to ensure the highest level of care for our patients. 




    Ultrasound Technician/LPN responsibilities and duties


    • Essential duties and responsibilities of this position are described below and are subject to change by management, as may be necessitated by changes in business needs, contract requirements, accommodation for request or other reasons
    • Provide coverage for the statewide hepatitis C (HCV) management program
    • Will include disease surveillance and coordination of treatment for TDOC's HCV population
    • Will be required to travel frequently including overnight stays
    • Collect and document subjective and objective health Information and other diagnostic tests to identify and monitor the health needs of patients ls a variety of settings
    • Share knowledge, skills and information with peers, colleagues and others as needed 
    • Tennessee LPN license
    • Current CPR Certification
    • Corrections experience is preferred, but is not required
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
