We are currently seeking a Full Time Psychologist (30-40 hours per week) to join our mental health team at Yuma Correctional Center located in Yuma, AZ.
POSITION SUMMARY: Direct, coordinate, and evaluate psychological-related activities and treatments in collaboration with the
behavioral/mental health multidisciplinary team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in the development/review of individualized behavioral/mental health
treatment plans and in the monitoring and treatment of patients as indicated on the treatment plans
Provide evaluations for clinical purposes, to include assessment of risk, diagnoses, and treatment needs
Assist in the behavioral/mental health administrative functions if assigned
Administer, interpret and report on psychological test data as requested
Utilize evidence-based treatment methods to include psychoeducational groups, psychotherapy, and behavior
management in treating patients
Provide crisis interventions as required to include precautionary measures, daily follow-up and emergency interventions
Oversee development and implementation of behavior management plans for identified patients
Provide documentation and prepare reports of patient care and all patient encounters in the patient’s record as required
Monitor, assess, and coach staff on clinical psychological related procedures, recommending training or education as
Conduct/oversee in-service training on behavioral/mental health related topics for Company and other agency staff
Provide clinical supervisory oversight for non-psychiatric behavioral/mental health staff as requested
Provide on-call services as assigned
Acquire and maintain current clinical knowledge and skills and professional standards
Identify and maintain professional boundaries to preserve the integrity of the therapeutic process and relationship
Proactive in performance improvement activities as demonstrated by participating in the Continuous Quality
Improvement (CQI) program (peer review; record reviews; membership on the CQI committee) and modifying clinical
practices based on CQI recommendations
Develop Psychological Reconstruction for patient suicides as indicated
Ensure compliance with all agency and Company policies, Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines including
Maintain an ethical commitment to ensure confidentiality within the limits of a the clinical environment
Deliver care in a nonjudgmental/nondiscriminatory manner to protect the autonomy, dignity and rights of the patient
This position is classified as “essential.” Essential employees are expected to report to work when other state agencies
are closed for emergencies

Doctoral degree in Psychology or related field is required.
Holds a current license as a Psychologist in Arizona
Current HSPP (Health Service Provider in Psychology) endorsement or eligibility to deliver clinical mental health services under supervision until license and HSPP endorsement is gained required. Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
