    Centurion is proud to be the provider of forensic mental health services to the Massachusetts Trial Courts. 


    We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Central Massachusetts, covering the Boston Municipal Court and Dedham District Court.


    The Court Psychologist is responsible for evaluating mentally ill individuals and individuals with substance use issues brought before the Courts on criminal and/or civil matters in order to determine appropriate dispositions and to refer them to needed services.


    The Court Psychologists, or Designated Forensic Professionals, are responsible for fulfilling the statutory obligations of the Department of Mental Health under MGL c. 123 which include, but are not limited to:


    • Evaluation of the need for Emergency Hospitalization (C.123, s.12e)
    • Competence to Stand Trial and/or Criminal Responsibility Screening Evaluations (c.123, s.15a)
    • Evaluation of the need for Hospitalization of Mentally-Ill Prisoners (c. 123, s.18a)
    • Determination of the Mental Condition of Witnesses (c.123, s.19)
    • Evaluation of the need for Commitment of Substance Abusers (c.123, s.35)
    • Aid in Sentencing Evaluations (c.123, s. 15e)
