    We are currently accepting applicants for a full-time (40 hours per week) Psychiatrist at Northwest Florida Reception Center in Chipley, Florida. Chipley is 45 miles north of Panama City.

    Position Overview   

    Provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for incarcerated offenders under the supervision of the Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to offenders with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.

    Qualifications

     

    Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited US Psychiatry residency program required

     

    Active unrestricted Florida medical license 

     

    Board Certification or Board Eligible in Psychiatry 

     

    Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate

     

    Two (2)+ years of experience practicing as a Psychiatrist in an outpatient setting preferred

     

    Experience in correctional setting and or reception center preferred

     

    Must receive approval of Centurion Credentialing Review Committee if review requested

     

    Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification

     

    Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable

     

    Must be legally eligible to work within United States.   No sponsorship opportunities available at this time.
