We are currently seeking a Full-Time Counselor to join our Team at the Hays State Prison located in Trion, GA. Trion is approximately 29 miles from Rome, GA. Hays SP houses approximately 1,100 adult male inmates and is a close security facility.
Qualified candidates must be licensed in the state of Georgia as either an LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW. This is a full-time opportunity offering a flexible schedule Monday through Friday or four 10-hour days per week.
Provides mental health case management services and consults with multidisciplinary mental health team in providing comprehensive mental health care to include linking clients with internal/external services, providing advocacy, as well as group and individual therapy. The incumbent functions as advanced psychiatric social services specialist providing administrative, consultative and supervisory functions. The incumbent performs highly technical work under professional supervision involving the diagnosis, and evaluation. Incumbent administers various psychological examinations, analyzes and interprets the results, and discusses findings with appropriate staff, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
