    MHM, a national leading provider of healthcare solutions to governmental agencies, has newly created opportunity for a  Marketing Coordinator to join our proposal team based in our corporate headquarters in Vienna, Virginia/Tyson Corner area(Metro is two blocks from the office).  The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate various tasks related to responding to government procurements for healthcare services, including formatting, proposal layout and design, and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be comfortable working with other corporate departments, contracts, and with all levels of management to ensure a solid proposal, including clinical departments, human resources, finance, and subcontractor groups.  Strong verbal and written communications skills and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude are essential. 


    This person will coordinate all of the administrative aspects of proposal development. We are seeking someone who excels at organizing and tracking the moving parts in a fast paced-environment. Candidates must have an eye for details and willingness to put in extra work to make a final product error-free. 


    Preference will be given to candidates who have previous governmental procurement experience (e.g., local, state, and/or federal procurement) or experience gathering or generating high quality written content.  It is not necessary to fully understand our current market (largely correctional healthcare, state hospitals, public health, and other community settings).  Ultimate preference will be given to someone eager to learn, who has a keen eye for detail, and potential to work well with the team.  


    This position is full-time during normal business hours. Flexible scheduling is permissible; however, evening and weekend work may be  necessary at times due to proposal work load.



    Duties include:  Assisting the proposal manager with the following:

    • Coordinating the development, printing, and submission of high quality technical proposals for healthcare services in governmental settings
    • Helps to breakdown and recognize requirements of an RFP
    • Create compliance matrices
    • Helps track and organize the moving parts of the proposal
    • Helps to edit and design the final proposal
    • Coordinate with graphic designer to update or design new graphics
    • Has a willingness to learn subject matter to better recognize needed content and make content up-to-date
    • Management of the production and printing of the final outgoing product
    • Tracking procurements
    • Coordination of procurement events  through production(kickoff meetings, follow-up conference calls, proposal reviews)


    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, communications, or similar field.  Degrees in healthcare areas also eligible if have strong communication and writing skills.
    • Two years of experience in a coordinator or assistant role in an office setting
    • Must be familiar with Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe programs and a willingness to become an expert with these programs
    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently, proactively, and according to deadlines inherent in the government procurement process and as set by proposal manager
    • Must be detail oriented and able to manage and organize large amounts of information in a fast-paced environment
    • Prefer the candidate to have strong writing and editing skills, computer graphics and proposal formatting, web and internet skills and ability to generate content.
