  • Overview

    Forensic Health Services (FHS), a wholly owned subsidiary of MHM Services, is a private behavioral health care agency providing mental health evaluation, mental health treatment and substance abuse services to both juveniles and adults.

     

    We are seeking a FT, 40 hours/week Operations Assistant to work at AIC Milford, in Milford, CT.

     

    This position supports the program operations in various capacities including receptionist duties, administrative functions, and program participant supervision.

     

    Other duties include:

    Engages clients using Motivational Interviewing techniques in day to day interactions with clients

    Takes clients into the community to access community service events

    Monitors client behaviors and uses behavior management system to reward desired behaviors and          

    applies swift and certain sanctions for undesirable behavior

    Holds clients accountable for court ordered conditions

    Models pro-social behaviors and serves as a role model to clients and staff

    Actively participates in quality assurance activities that include audio/video taping interactions with clients, submitting tapes and participates in feedback sessions with QA coaches

     

    Remains current on correctional programming literature; emerging promising practices and evidence-based programming

     

    Enters accurate data into Contractor Data Collection System in a timely manner

    Participates in effort of meeting performance based measures set by Court Support Services Division

    Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor at all times, following MHM policies and procedures

    Maintains cleanliness of work area, respecting all equipment in work area

    Maintains confidentiality of information as it relates to patients, employees and operations

    Communicates appropriately, and as needed, with the corporate office and other sites. Facilitates the flow of information to and from the management as delegated

     

    Performs clerical, administrative and secretarial duties accurately and efficiently

    Maintains office supplies as applicable

    Prepares and submits accurate reports in a timely manner

    Directs incoming telephone calls to the appropriate party in a courteous and efficient manner

    Provides transportation for clients to and from court, appointments and community service, as assigned

    Ensures urinalysis collection is completed and documented according to agency policy

     

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
    • Minimum of 1 year secretarial or office experience
    • Strong communication skills, knowledge as well as computer experience, excellent writing and organizational skills
    • Clean driving record
