    We are currently seeking a Regional Mental Health Director for Pennslyvania Department of Corrections.  This person will be working from one of the facilities(Camp Hill, Rockview or Muncy) and travel to the other facilities overseeing the three Unit Directors.   


    As part of the management team this individual will provide administrative guidance, consultation and mental health leadership to coordinate clinical needs and provide assessment, quality imporovement, and monitor policy and procedures on these inpatient units.


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES also include: 

    • Coodination of inmate care, to include faciliating and  leading collaboration with disciplines such as Medical, psychology, and security.


    • Management of the wait list to ensure timely, collaborative admissions that provide quality inmate care during the transition from the home site to the unit. 


    • Oversight of the four inpatient units located in Muncy, Bellefonte, Waymart and CampHill, PA.  While attending treatment team meetings, treatment planning and review, improved documentation, critical case reviews, commitment hearings, policies and procedures and more.


    • Initiation and support of behavior plans.


    • Monitoring of the Behavioral Health Unit and SRTU populations.


    • Provision of Electronic Health Record training and support along with updating and initiating needed forms in Sapphire.  Training provided. 


    • Supporting recruiting and hiring efforts


    • Training and retention of staff. Updating manuals, and conducting bi-annual workshops by discipline.   


    • Additional support and accountablilty for Mental Health Unit Directors, reports, utilization reviews, staff meetings, provider meetings, policy reviews, monitoring of correction action interventions, audits and more.

    • Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or  related field from an accredited educational institution.
    • Minimum of two years supervisory experience
    • Three years behavioral/mental health experience in a correctional and/or mental health services environment
    • Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
