POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Staff Psychiatrist is a driving force for the treatment of the resident which includes medication regimens. Work under the direction of the Program Manager and collaborate with mental health/medical leadership and other members of the multidisciplinary team in the correctional environment to improve health care of incarcerated offenders.
- Under the supervision of the Program Manager, implement NH DOC quality assurance reporting requirements in accord with regulatory and consent decree requirements
- Provide support and consultative functions to Behavioral Health staff.
- Develop and implement suicide prevention training in accord with consent decree requirements.
- Develop nursing education and training program, including continuing education/training and orientation for nurses in coordination with MHM corporate resources and in-service training staff of the agency.
- Act as liaison to compliance auditors and other external regulatory agencies.
- Conduct Chart audits and other QI functions
- Provide statistical analysis for all QI indicators.
- Help provide system analysis to promote “best practice” in the delivery of patient care.
- Standardize all clinical processes and practice to promote uniform and high quality of care.
- Will be proactive in performance improvement activities as demonstrated by participating in the MHM Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program (peer review; record reviews; membership on the CQI committee) as requested and modifying clinical practices based on CQI recommendations.
- Serve as MHM liaison to client in collaboration with program manager and regional vice president

Old Colony Correctional Center is a high-tech medium security facility located on thirty acres of land at the Bridgewater Correctional Complex. OCCC Health Service Unit - fast, paced, medical unit with a psych specialty- allows nurses to strengthen assessment and documentation skills - must be able to multi task and prioritize.
We are seeking LPN's to work the following shifts:
PT (8 hours/week) days every other weekend
PT (24 hours/week) evenings with every other weekend
FT (40 hours/week)nights with every other weekend
Positions will involve direct contact with the inmate population and includes but is not limited to the following duties: intake assessments, infirmary care, sick call clinics, chronic care clinics, med passes, emergency care, etc. Positions are unlike most in that you are able to utilize all of your nursing skills including mental health. These are well rounded positions and will take you out of the any day to day nursing slumps you may have experienced in the past.
